Register

Registration is now open for those who were booked for the original 2020 game, you should have received an email. If not, reach out to us at island@ritesofspring.co.uk and we will sort things for you. Registration will then open them out to those that were not booked for the original game on 29th April 2024. We feel a debt of gratitude to all our original players, who were almost universally lovely when we let them down on short notice. Hence this approach. We hope that you all understand.

What you get

Accommodation on the Island from Thursday 10th April 2025 to Sunday 13th April in shared rooms on the beautiful island of Livø. Ferry travel to and from the Island. Lunch and dinner on the Thursday; breakfast, lunch and dinner on Friday; breakfast, lunch and dinner on the Saturday and breakfast on the Sunday. A character crafted to your own game themes and preferences, with relationships built in with the chance to personalise it further, and a series of organiser led plots and storylines.

Ticket Types

There will be a couple of ticket types available. All tickets will include the scheduled meals and accommodation, and will offer an equal quality of game experience for all participants. We hope to be able to offer the opportunity to split payments across 3 instalments.

Standard: These will cost €590.

Concessionary: These tickets will cost less and are identical in all other ways to a standard ticket. Our intention is to allow people who would not otherwise be able to afford it, a chance to attend the LARP. If you cannot afford the other ticket types for whatever reason then these are the tickets for you - we don't need to know why or see any detail. There will be a small number of these tickets available, with more made possible as we gain additional funds through the supporter scheme.

Supporter: If you wish to contribute some additional money towards making more concessionary tickets available, we'd be really grateful for your generosity. Please reach out to us at island@ritesofspring.co.uk for more info.

Cancellations: Should you book and need to cancel, we will refund you the ticket payments made, less the non-refundable deposit. As we expect the event to be sold out, we will maintain a waiting list of people, and offer tickets to them according to the lottery order. It will not be permissible to sell your ticket on privately, without prior agreement from us.

Booking process

There is a google form to fill in, and then we need a €100 non-refundable deposit to secure your place. At that point, your spot is secure (pending our flagging process).

Travel insurance

Due to the nature of the accessibility of the island being only by boat, there is a chance that the event may have to be called off at the last minute due to weather or similar factors.

We aim to have the event fully covered by cancellation insurance that will enable us to refund all ticket costs, but past experience has shown us that insurance has some exclusions. Consequently we need you to accept that in extreme circumstances like, say, an unforseen global pandemic, we may not be able to offer full refunds. Any organiser provided insurance won’t cover any other expenses you have incurred.

Therefore, it is strongly advised that all participants procure insurance to cover their travel and accommodation costs outside of the LARP itself.

Problematic people

We are aware that our hobby is, regrettably, sometimes a haven for people who exhibit problematic behaviours. We would appreciate it if there are names that you consider to be a danger to the larp community in general, if you would include them in the appropriate place on the flagging form which will be distributed after we have a list of attendees. We also understand that sometimes there are people whose attendance at an event, whilst not dangerous to the wider community, causes sufficient personal discomfort that you may not wish to attend if they are going to be there. We will conduct a flagging process where you can highlight any such people to us, once we have a list of all attendees. All names in these contexts will be kept private and we do not need reasons or explanations from you.

Should an attendee be flagged and asked not to attend, we will refund them in full (including the normally non-refundable deposit).
